ABOUT US

Funding and Program Expertise — CDS specializes in project-specific grant acquisition, loan program management, direct services to businesses, and community outreach and education. On behalf of our clients, CDS has secured more than $125 million from sources including Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Economic Development Administration (EDA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), workforce training programs, private-sector partners, banking institutions, the Small Business Adminstraion (SBA), and other funding sources.

Business Technical Assistance — CDS provides in-depth technical assistance to micro, small, and mid-sized businesses in key areas including cash flow management, access to private and public capital, personnel development, business expansion, market analysis, customer service, and product or service development. We provide liaison and technical support to small and midsized businesses with permitting requirements, environmental health issues, CEQA and NEPA approvals, and other related work as needed to facilitate business development.

Project Coordination and Community Support — The CDS team also provides project coordination, liaison services between public and private entities, project feasibility analysis, community presentations, strategy development, staff training, and program administration. A central focus of CDS’s work is helping clients access the funding needed to move projects forward.
